Associate Professor
Room number: D7
Phone number: 41 349 6122
e-mail: dawid.gmiter@ujk.edu.pl
Consultations: Wednesday, 10:00-12:00
Scientific interests: My research interests are mainly related to the molecular basis of the phenomenon of relative discrimination and territoriality of Proteus mirabilis. The aim of my research is to determine the genetic and phenotypic diversity of P. mirabilis strains and to determine how they correspond to the degree of their relatedness. My research also concerns the interaction of P. mirabilis with other bacterial species. The most important research methods used in my work include: methods of DNA and RNA isolation, PCR method and its variants (including real-time PCR), bioinformatic methods – including comparative analysis of genomes.

Scientific interests: My current research interests are focused on investigation of seed-associated beneficial bacterial populations in parasitic plants . The main aim of my project is understanding host-microbiome interaction. Especially, relationship between beneficial bacterial isolates with plant growth-promoting effects and plant response to abiotic stress.
